There are many ways people end up seeking help, from addressing a particular event or behaviour to a more general sense that things are not right. Offering an open, curious and confidential space, my approach is based on your particular challenges and needs. This is to help you articulate a deeper sense of self, revealing the choices that will bring this into being in the world.

This work is done through weekly 50-minute sessions, either online or in person. Once we agree and commit to a time and day, this space is yours and what we discuss is confidential.

Change often requires a holistic approach. Exploring your thoughts, emotions and experiences of your body can provide clues as to what is happening and where we might need to go. Alongside this, I hold that we each have a spiritual dimension, a unique sense of purpose and calling.

To get started I offer a free 15-minute consultation, either by phone or online. Here we can meet, I can find out a little about what has brought you to seek help and you can ask any questions you might have about the process going forward.

Anxiety and depression

Sometimes life can feel too much. Exploring ways of living that may no longer serve and discovering better-suited alternatives can help you cope better, eventually emerging into a different, more sustainable way of being.

Grief & loss

Loss is one of life’s inevitability, yet there is no single road map to navigate the experience. Together we can process the many personal impacts of a death and work to plot a course forward.

Trauma

Trauma can come from extreme, one-off events. However, research shows that repeated stresses during childhood can set up patterns of mental and bodily responses that persist into adulthood. By working with this physical and emotional stuckness, we can create new pathways forward.

Sexuality

Sexuality is a core component of our life force and being in the world. Shaming attitudes, reactions and prejudice can potentially constrain our ability to fully express this. Exploring your individual needs and desires, while removing what stands in the way of these, can help you step into your unique identity.

Meaning and purpose

At the heart of life lie great mystery. What are we here for and why? Sometimes this might be obvious. But at other times it might feel like we’ve lost our way, are going through the motions or are on the wrong track entirely. Therapy can help hold you through this, facilitating change to re-engage with life in a deeper and richer way.

Addiction

Compulsive behaviours, be they substance use or any other unwanted, repeated actions, can be distressing and demoralising. We’ll examine how your particular circumstances serve and limit you, start to heal the root causes and look at what can take their place.

Gender & identity

With gender roles shifting in the last few decades, some have declared masculinity in crisis – with men’s role in society coming into question and mental health becoming more of an issue. Together we can explore any issues surrounding this.

Starting with your distinct experiences and expectations of manhood, we can plot a unique path through the competing narratives of what in means to be a man today to arrive at a greater sense of self-acceptance and belonging.

Psychedelic grounding

At the heart of life lies a great mystery. Increasingly, it is being acknowledged that psychedelics can help us step beyond the every day to experience something of the ineffable. While this opening up can be healing, it can also lead to a sense of confusion of disorientation. I offer a space to process such experiences and to explore ways to integrate them into daily life.
